Go to the webpage to watch a heart warming local TV news story about one of the Filipino teachers that is arriving in Las Vegas on an H-1B visa (of course no mention is made about the visa type). If this newscast is to be believed, these teachers are being welcomed into Las Vegas with open arms because the schools can't find enough math and science teachers.

Adjusting To Teaching In America
Aug 29, 2005, 8:26 PM
More than 2,000 new teachers greeted students today. One of those new teachers is Francisco Franco. He's one of about fifty Filipino teachers hired by the Clark County School District to help fill teaching positions in high need areas, like special education and math.
Franco teaches algebra and geometry at Valley High School. And despite being new to America, he's no rookie. Like the others, he has years of teaching experience in the Phillipines.
"We want to try a new envirorment and experience what american education is all about and actually we are required to go back to the Philippines and share our experiences in our own schools."
Valley High School still needs two math teachers. About 280 teachers are still needed district-wide.
