Exporting America
Tuesday, May 20, 2003
As more and more types of work are moving overseas, U.S. companies are
exporting not only manufacturing jobs but also intellectual capital.
Back-office positions from computer technical support analysts to
24-hour customer service line representatives are increasingly found in
countries like India. And now there is even a push to move Wall Street
research analyst jobs overseas. What impact is this having on the U.S.
economy? Join us for our special report "Exporting America."
Rep. James Sensenbrenner, R-Wisconsin, joins Lou to discuss the
Department of Homeland Security's investigation into whether the French
government aided members of Saddam Hussein's regime when they fled
Iraq.
Also, Robert Greifeld, the new president and CEO of the NASDAQ, joins
Lou to talk about his plans for the exchange's future.
