H-1B Story on Orlando TV

WKMG producer Terri Spitz has some exciting news for those of you that
can pick up that TV station. They are doing a show on H-1B and L-1
visas starting next week. Michael Emmons, a victim of the L-1 Visa had
a major part in getting their attention on the L-1 visa. Of course
corporate spin doctor Harris Miller of the ITAA will be interviewed to
explain why the future of the Western world depends on H-1B. Get your

I am a investigative producer at the CBS affiliate in Orlando, Fla. We
are doing a series on the H1-B and L1 visas and its impact on American
IT workers. Our series will last for three days. After it airs in
Orlando, our sister station in Miami will probably run it. Honestly,
just like many investigations, if it hadn't been for a tip from a local
man in the IT industry we wouldn't have known this was happening. We've
talked over a dozen layed off IT workers, Congressmen, along with
Harris Miller of the ITAA, in the past two months. We are now in the
process of talking to companies using these visas (and laying off at
the same time). I don't know if you're in Orlando, but our station
website is www.local6.com. It's slated to air early next week, so it'll
probably be on the website then. We realize the magnitude of this story
and we are doing everything we can to get our news report to the masses
(even outside our market).
